YouthBuild Job Developer
Salary : $20.00 per hour
Location: Hemet, CA
Job Description:
We are in search of a dedicated full-time Job Developer to manage the development and implementation of career building opportunities for YouthBuild participants, ages 18-24. The Job Developer will coordinate services for clients including assessing skills, interests, and abilities; identifying job opportunities; assisting in creating resumes, and preparing participants for interviews. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with employers to connect trainees with viable job opportunities, have experience with high risk populations, and an understanding and knowledge of vocational counseling.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Experience in related field may be substituted on a year for year basis) Understanding of the apprenticeship system in the construction and logistics trades. Experience in job placement or workforce development. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
General Responsibilities:
Plan, organize and conduct job search skills workshops including resume' preparation and other skills.
Develop and maintain partnerships in the public and private sectors that will provide career opportunities that are aligned with YouthBuild students interest and goals.
Community networking to promote awareness and enhance the reputation of the YouthBuild program.
Ensure trainees are prepared for job interviews and conduct follow-up assessments.
Work closely with employers to maximize retention and success.
